Postponement of the date of introduction of the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF)

On January 19, the Ministry of Finance announced that the National System of e-Invoicing (KSeF) would be introduced at a later date. The system was initially scheduled to be mandatory from July 1, 2024 but first, an internal IT audit will be conducted

A specific date for the final enforcement of the National System of e-Invoicing has not been provided. However, information from the Ministry of Finance indicates that it will definitely not happen this year. The Ministry also emphasized that when deciding to postpone the KSeF deadline, it took into consideration the opinions of entrepreneurs.

It is important to note that the Ministry’s announcement is not an indication of canceling the plans to implement the National System of e-Invoicing as a mandatory. Instead, it underscores the need for control and thorough preparation of all processes for such a significant undertaking as the KSeF.

It is worth recalling that entrepreneurs can already use the trial version of the system, which was introduced in January 2022.

The Minister’s announcement included information about identified errors that prevented the system from being implemented as planned. The conducted audit aims to provide answers, including the planned date of KSeF enforcement. The Minister emphasized responsibility towards entrepreneurs and the need to ensure stability and predictability in conducting business activities.
